EXCERPT 1
“Are you planning to knock me out with that book?”
“Sorry?”
“Your expression isn’t very comforting about your intentions,” he says while taking the book from my hands. “For a moment there, I thought you were going to toss it at my head.”
“You’re imagining things. Why would I want that?”
“Because Brooke is bringing out your irrational side?” he smiles mischievously.
“I thought I was clear about one thing I don’t want to talk about Brooke.”
“Very well. So let’s talk about your meeting with my father.”
“It was very instructive and very interesting.”
“I don’t doubt that. He called me to ask when our relationship will become official.”
“You should tell him that we would need the approval of your real girlfriend.”
“I’ll do that next time.”
And to think that I spent my whole evening waiting for him to deny that he was in a relationship with Brooke! I try not to show my despair. The girls were right. If you play with fire, you’ll get burned.
EXCERPT 2
When everyone is gone, I fall on the couch, exhausted. The evening has been too intense for me in the end. Matt, the last one still remaining, doesn’t seem to be affected.
“Did you see my mother’s face? She must have thought that this was her chance to get rid of you, and my confession destroyed her hopes.”
“That’s true, but still she seemed shocked that you would cheat on me.”
“Yes; maybe if she had the chance to live a second life she would accept you. For this life, I think we shouldn’t delude ourselves. I guarantee you that tonight’s performance made you win hands down the trophy for the worst daughter-in-law she could hope for.”
“Very funny.”
“I told you, my mother doesn’t really like inventive people very much, but me, I’m rather intrigued by your imagination.”
“Stop playing with me. I’m sad that my plan failed at every level.”
“You would have liked me to let you win?”
“Certainly not. I would have wanted to win by making you lose your calm, not because you let me win.”
“I have a great idea for that,” he says as he gets closer and strokes my face. “It’s still my duty to help you win at least one point, and I know only one way to do that.”
“Not so fast,” I get away from his arms. “Maybe you explained Sara to everyone else, but I need more details.”
“I can promise you that she doesn’t kiss as well as you,” he says seriously.
“Too bad for you, because between her and me, she’s the only one with whom you’ll have a chance.”
He bursts into laughter and ruffles my hair. “Don’t you think you’ve lost enough for tonight? You really want to challenge me?”

have really enjoyed reading the tales of Erin’s romantic comedy and honestly you just can’t help but fall in love with her. She is such a sweet, imaginative character and never ceases to amaze me, you can’t blame her for just wanting to find her Prince Charming, the love of her life. Because in all honesty, aren’t we all looking for love really… The way that these stories have developed has been amazing and you can see the passion in Mary Kelly’s writing that she really enjoys writing. I was honestly sad when I got to the end of Erin’s story because I just wanted to read more, you get that drawn into the story that you can’t help but feel that the story should continue.The story carries on from where the second book ended and honestly you will be shocked by the turn of events. It seems that whilst Erin wants her Prince Charming, she can’t help but be afraid to admit the truth of what she feels and whilst that scares her everyone else around her seems to see right through her. You will be taken through more adventures with Erin in hopes that she finds her happy ever after and honestly if she meets him then I’m sure things will turn out how she wants. However, instead of me giving anything away, you should go ahead and pick this book up for yourself as honestly this is such an amazing series.

Loved the first one. The second one started to drag on, and by this one, it was "enough already." But overall, I love the writing style and thought the characters had a lot of likeability. Would read it again if it was condensed into 2 books.

I have never laughed so hard through a series of books. The characters are perfectly human, real with all of the human traits we all share. But, sometimes we all go a little overboard. Erin is a wonderful character who has her eyes so focused on finding her Prince Charming that she almost misses him completely!
Witty, get movie references (there are a few I've got to watch that I've missed), funny, and clean! Thank you Mary for writing such a great series!
Well I loved the storyline and plot, I knew book 3 was a happy ending. I have to say going through this relationship with Matt, Erin and friends and families was at times excruciating. I am very sensitive so that made me have more angst than the characters. Great group of friends, other romance stories with happy endings with their own angst, and a fairy tale ending. Fiction at its best. Antagonists and self doubt and maybe friends that should have lost patience with Erin sooner, takes through 3 books to be vulnerable to Matt. 3 years for Erin to work out her issues dysfunctionally and Matt waited. Trust is not easy when more may be lost or fears of the loss of love are too binding to contemplate.
For starters - I usually prefer Stand-alone books that I can read quickly and move on... This was not that because it is a trilogy but it was WORTH it!! I really got invested in these characters because they were so well written! They were REAL and dynamic!
I was sooo frustrated with Erin because it has taken her 3 years to sort out her feelings, but once she finally decided to be brave it was so rewarding!!
I loved Matt all the more once Erin heard his side at the end (I LOVE 1st person narrative where it keeps you guessing what the boy is thinking- yet there are definite good clues throughout!) All the waiting was worth it!
(SPOILER) For how much angst we went through with Erin, I loved that the author let us see them happy and together their life together. Plus the proposal!!! Matt is so thoughtful!
I still think this should be made into a tv series!

Ending Book 3 of 3 and finally HEA!
In the concluding book of Erin's trilogy, she's still... well... sort of a basket case. Her inability to trust Matt remains baffling to me after all this time. BUT I do understand some of her confusion because Matt keeps playing with her instead of being completely open about his interest (though I can also see why Matt doesn't want to be that open with Erin, considering her long ambivalence toward him)
As much as the relationship between the two exasperated me sometimes, though, I really love the characters in these books. The author does a great job of creating sympathetic, likable characters that would be fun to hang out with.
The romantic moments between Erin and Matt are so swoony. So it's very satisfying once they finally get it together and work out their happily-ever-after. Despite my criticisms, I still very much enjoyed the series, and will be following the author as I look forward to reading more by her.
