Rafe looked up from the bag he was haphazardly stuffing my clothes into and stared at me, a suspicious glint in his eyes.
“Why are you so determined to stay here?” His jaw clenched visibly. “Is there something you want to tell me?”
“Huh? Like what?”
“I don’t know, Colby. You tell me.”
“I don’t know what you mean.” I stared at him, completely blindsided.
“Don’t you? First, you took off in direct violation of my instructions. Now, you don’t want to come home even though you may be in danger.” Rafe stopped packing and closed the suitcase much more carefully than necessary. “Was that what the note was supposed to mean? That you didn’t want me to come after you?” He sucked in a breath and his shoulders squared. “Because, if that’s what you want, I’ll respect it.” He took one near-menacing step toward me and brought himself to a stop with obvious effort. “After you deliver ...but the child stays with the pack.”
My heart plummeted into my stomach at the coldness in his voice as I gawked at him.

I have been so impatient waiting for this book! I stumbled across Soulmate for Sale that starts this series and was so captivated I've hung on every post and email with any type of notice about new releases. Buyer Beware is the basis for the story line of this new book, Flawlessly Imperfect. Rafael and his omega, Colby, finally have their baby. I knew it was going to be a girl!!! It just seemed perfect to me for these two macho men to have a baby girl but she's no ordinary girl. She may be less than a month old at the end of the story but (Possible spoiler here) she is one feisty cub. Colby has a very difficult delivery and Rafe has to face the possibility of loosing both Colby and the baby. After she is born, there are a series of misunderstandings and hair raising episodes that literally had me sitting up and breathing hard at one point. Oh, my, and then there is Vlad and Jackal. I'm still chuckling over them. As with all the books, the particular story can be read alone but if you read them in order it is a much better journey. So come meet the wolves, dragons, and yes, the turkey, of these books and laugh a lot, cry a little, get angry and be surprised in every one of them. Thank you, Kian, you pushed all the right buttons and left me wanting more.Product details

I love the humor and subjects that Kian writes about. I really like how the characters are revisited and new ones introduced, Vlad is wonderful. I'm glad he is continuing with the packs. Colby and Rafe's story is continued in this book, with a heart breaking situation for any new parent to go through. I cannot wait to see the next books.
Rafe and Colby are magic together. In this story, they make beautiful music and magic. This story made my heart swell with love for this whole pack. Vlad was a fantastic addition and I bet will bring lots of fun in the future. This was a beautifully written story, that shows you love is unconditional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS FANTASTIC SERIES!!!!!
This continues the trend for excitement and moving love. What do you do when the child you've been eagerly awaiting is born- impaired? This is the emotional trauma Rafe and Colby must with. Add in some side adventures, a turkey shifter on the loose, and Trevor, in the thick of things as always. This hints that we are getting closer to a prophecy that has been hinted at from time to time across the series.
I have to admit that I was a bit leary about this book. It didn't involve a new couple and, from the blurb, didn't seem to have much of anything to do with the omega auctions. While both of those statements were completely true, this story was beautiful and a little bit heartbreaking.
It was a bit of a surprise that Colby feared that Rafe would try to purge Leia, but maybe that was just supposed to be the hormones from his pregnancy talking. When it really counted, Colby knew that he could trust his alpha without fail.
Oh I liked being able to see Colby and Rafe again. These two still have some trust issues to work out and I liked that Rafe made sure that they faced them. He doesn't skirt around or ignore issues in their relationship. He still adores Colby and loves him to distraction, he's also a bit over protective. Colby continues to impress me with his strengths and whit. The man is a smart ass. There is plenty of action and adventure as well as a bit of drama with Colby's giving birth. We get to see our heroes from the past books come together to help. Rafe's pack in particular shows us what wonderful guys they are. I have to say I LOVED Vlad's character. I hope we get to see he and Jackal get a book of their own.

I was crying when I read this book. I love Rafe and Colby story. Understanding that real life situations make for more drama. The heartbreak of nearly losing a child will drive Colby into fight or flight mode. Rafe loves his mate to distraction, but when he has to let his love be it's hardest thing to do. Leia is a gift to her parents, she will have trials and tribulations but she will definitely find her inner shewolf. She is tiny but mighty!! Kian has me mesmerized and an emotional wreck, these books are amazing and her words come to life . It's a pleasure to read her books, I'm excited to think of her next book and the possibilities for another series!! This is limitless...
This series has some series issues with getting its timeline straight. How many "years" has it been since Colby joined the Blood Valley pack? I hadn't realized that a single pregnancy could last so long.
While this book was slightly better than the rest of the series, All That Glitters not included, I'm left conflicted. This book has all the same issues as the rest (timeline issues, a weak story with lots of holes, poor character development, and numerous grammar/spelling/other errors), but the biggest issue I see with this story is that it's incomplete. People could argue it's done this way to leave an opening for another book. But still, this book, even if there's another book coming, is incomplete. And, I think more importantly (as the book is listed as book five rather than book four-point-five), isn't inline with what the series has so far been.
I love Colby and Rafe's pup though, and Vlad was a nice twist.
